From Exploring the Ozarks to Protecting Homes Across Southwest Missouri
Bug-Go Pest Control was built on something simple: a lifelong curiosity about the outdoors and a passion for helping people solve problems.
Owner Brian Mansker grew up in Southwest Missouri near Branson, surrounded by the forests, creeks, and rolling hills of the Ozarks. As a kid, he spent most of his time outside exploring nature. While other kids were just playing in the dirt, Brian was the one turning over rocks, watching ants build their colonies, and studying the insects and animals that lived around him.
One of his favorite sources of inspiration growing up was Ranger Rick Magazine, a wildlife magazine that introduced young readers to animals, insects, and ecosystems from around the world. Those pages sparked an early fascination with how nature works and how even the smallest creatures play a role in the environment.
That curiosity about the natural world would eventually come full circle later in life.
Education and Career
After growing up in the Ozarks, Brian attended Missouri State University (formerly Southwest Missouri State University). His career path initially led him into the technology and medical industries, where he spent more than a decade working in roles that required precision, analytical thinking, and a deep commitment to helping people.
For 12 years, Brian worked in environments where solving problems correctly and caring for people were essential parts of the job. The medical field especially reinforced something that has stayed with him throughout his career:
When people trust you to solve a problem affecting their home or well-being, you take that responsibility seriously.
That philosophy would later shape how Bug-Go Pest Control operates today.
The Birth of Bug-Go Pest Control
After years in the technology and medical industries, Brian realized he wanted to build something of his own—something that combined his love of problem-solving with his lifelong fascination with the natural world.
Pest control turned out to be the perfect fit.
Like the medical field, professional pest management requires careful diagnosis, attention to detail, and solving problems at the source. Every home and business presents a different situation, and every pest problem requires a thoughtful, strategic solution.
To further strengthen his expertise, Brian pursued advanced professional education through Purdue University, one of the leading institutions in the country for pest management training and research.
Today, Brian is one of the few pest control company owners in Southwest Missouri who holds professional pest management credentials from Purdue University, providing Bug-Go Pest Control with an additional level of technical knowledge and industry expertise.
Bug-Go Pest Control was founded with a clear mission:
Deliver expert pest control with honesty, professionalism, and genuine care for customers.
